This week on the podcast, I’m talking to Kacie Lyn Martinez, participatory fiber artist, facilitator, and systems designer. Kacie uses fiber arts to create spaces, tools, and technologies that honor our humanity. In our conversation, we talked about her recent residency with PlySpace in Muncie, Indiana, where she created large-scale weaving public art pieces in using recycled textiles. Comment below to continue the conversation!
Curious about the alpaca yarn you heard me gush about on the podcast? You can read all about it here, or see a free project pattern for an alpaca throw blanket and a deflected double weave alpaca scarf.

I am feeling very emotional listening to your talk. I, too just lost my Mum suddenly and had to take her off life support. I have found that it’s getting harder to focus and deal as time goes on instead of easier. I received a loom for Christmas last year and it has just been sitting there. This has inspired me to go to it and seek the solace I need from it, hopefully. Thank you…
