Skip Dent Scarf
A light and airy scarf. The subtle spaces in the warp come from a simple technique called skip dent, in which a dent or two is skipped throughout the reed as you are threading. Order a kit.
Great pattern and easy to follow
well written!
Easy directions for the scarf. I am still working on the scarf but really like the silk yarn. It is a delight to work with. Can't wait to see the finished product
As others have noted, the pattern all but disappeared after wet finishing. The cotton linen blend is too stiff; no drape at all in the finished product. Sort of like wearing a paper towel. Very disappointed.
Skipped Dents is one of my favourite patterns. For a wider skipped area, I have skipped up to 3 dent/holes three times, for 3 equally spaced "columns"
Works well with plain weave, brooks bouquet and leno.
