What I was looking for.

I wanted to weave a baby blanket that wasn’t wider than my loom. This pattern was the right size. I also wanted to weave the blanket using 8/2 cotton which is the yarn that I have the most colours. There are so many possibilities with colour combinations with this pattern.

Great project

I wanted something simple and fun for my niece's new baby. This absolutely fit the bill. It went quickly but had enough going on to keep my interest and to produce a pretty piece. I'd do it again. I kind of wished I'd warped for two! (Sorry for the poor quality of the photograph. It turned out better than this suggests.)

Perfect gift for a new baby

I have woven this blanket three times now. It is a lovely, lightweight blanket perfect for a newborn in the small size. If I do it again I will probably weave the larger blanket. The small is good for a newborn, but will quickly become a stroller or car seat size blanket before long. I love this particular color combination for a boy (blue and yellowish). It is a fast and easy weave for such a beautiful outcome.

Interesting Baby Blanket

i just started weaving this blanket and am enjoying seeing the pattern show up with the change of colors in the weft. Thank you for the free pattern and the great fiber.
