Tidal Towels
A pair of cotton and linen hand towels woven with an Overshot pattern reminiscent of ocean tides. Order a kit.
This pattern was so easy to follow and taught me techniques I had not used before in a simple way. Fortunately I already had slub white cotton and blue linen. I have woven two towels and have enough warp left to weave on to make enough to divide into two matching dish cloths. I did “high tide for the first one, and two stripes of “low tide” for the second. This pattern is a keeper 😊
It took me a while to decode the instructions. Weave tabby meant throw a pick of "white" after each pick of "blue".
A++
I bought some cotton slub from GIST and it is wonderful. I also downloaded several patterns to help me decide what to weave. GIST has such a range of patterns and yarns I hardly know what to choose to make.
