The Tapestry Discovery Box is a quarterly subscription created by Rebecca Mezoff & Gist Yarn to help tapestry weavers explore new techniques and color combinations within a supportive learning community.
Each box includes seven tubes of Array Wool Yarn and video instruction from Rebecca highlighting a new technique or theme. Subscribers will also have access to an online platform where they can interact with other subscribers and attend a quarterly live video Q&A with Rebecca.
If you’re new to tapestry weaving, we recommend taking Rebecca’s Introduction to Tapestry Weaving course before joining this subscription.
This is an ongoing subscription. You will receive and be billed for a new box every 3 months. You are welcome to pause or cancel any time.
You will need a tapestry loom. A handheld Saffron loom or an upright tapestry loom are both great options. You will also need warp yarn, a tapestry fork, and other tapestry accessories that you are most comfortable weaving with.
Each Tapestry Discovery Box includes 7 tubes of Array Wool Yarn in the mail and email access to video instruction from Rebecca to an online platform where you will be able to view Rebecca’s video instruction, download handouts, interact with other subscribers, and attend quarterly live video Q&A’s. Each quarter you will receive 7 new tubes of Array Wool Yarn corresponding with the new lesson.
The photos of the projects and colors on this page are from the first box only.The colors will change every quarter. You will receive and be charged for a new box every 3 months with new projects and yarn each time. This means that you will be charged $155 + shipping when you sign up, your next charge will be $155 + shipping on April 15th, July 15, October 15, and January 15th moving forward. Subscription boxes will ship within one week of your card being charged.
Each box includes seven 1oz tubes of Array Wool Yarn, in a specially curated palette created by Rebecca Mezoff for the projects designed that quarter. Array is a 2/12 worsted spun wool yarn, made from primarily Corriedale and Columbia sheep raised on ranches in the western United States, and spun and dyed in North Carolina.
We charge $11.50 for shipping in the Continental US. For pricing to Alaska, Hawaii, and internationally, just add the box to checkout, click on the cart page, scroll down, and enter your zip code to calculate the shipping.
We sure do! Unfortunately due to Brexit we are not currently able to ship subscription boxes to the UK, but we ship to the rest of the world. Please note that international customers are responsible to pay for all customs and duties your country charges. See above for information about shipping costs. We strongly encourage you to find one or a few weaving friends in your home country, and to order all together to save on shipping costs and qualify for flat rate shipping! To do this, choose one person to purchase and pay for the subscription, and have them check out with 2 (or more) subscription boxes at one time. We think you’re going to enjoy it so much you won’t want to! But yes, if you decide this isn’t right for you for any reason, you are welcome to pause or cancel your subscription at any time.
You will have access to the online community, video content, and handouts as long as your subscription remains active. If you decide to pause or cancel your subscription, we will maintain your access to the online community & content for one additional quarter in case you need time to catch up. You can also download your handouts for future reference.
Once you sign up, you will receive a link to manage your account, enabling you to change your address, when you need to.
Rebecca has carefully selected the colorway that best works with the technique she’ll be covering in the online instruction. For this reason, we can't accommodate other color substitutions.
If you’re brand new to tapestry weaving, we recommend taking Rebecca’s beginner course before coming back to join the Discovery Box. The Discovery Box is designed for all skill levels, but does require basic tapestry knowledge.
No. Your purchase of the subscription box includes your purchase of the course, and the course is exclusive for subscribers. Please don’t share it!
