Plain weave is anything but plain when woven in Mallo. The thick-and-thin nature of this cotton slub creates an elegant, delicate texture, even in the simplest of weaves. Slightly thicker than many weaving yarns, Mallo weaves up quickly on both rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms. Sturdy, soft, and absorbent, Mallo is perfect for towels, napkins, and washcloths as well as lightweight blankets, scarves, and shawls.
I have not yet woven with this thread however I am pleased with how if feels and like the slubs. I will update my review when I have woven with it.

I wove two random stripe baby blankets with eight colors of Mallo. What a great yarn. The colors look wonderful together, and the weaving went so fast. The yarn was almost perfect—only one knot in all that yarn. I love the texture, softness, and drape. Mallo is one of the nicest yarns I’ve ever used.
Mallo is one of my favorite weaving yarns for warp and/or weft. It provides great texture, is soft, but sturdy and comes in array of gorgeous colors.
It’s the softest loveliest yarn I’ve worked with, and now I’m spoiled for life as it is all I ever want to use! It weaves into a beautiful soft, warm scarf with delightful texture. I’ve also made towels out of it and love them!
