Deflected Doubleweave Scarf
Designed by Elizabeth Springett
A straightforward approach to Deflected Doubleweave using 4 harnesses and 2 colors of Duet Cotton/Linen. This scarf has a reversible pattern that can be as bold or understated as you want it to be, depending on the colors in the warp and weft. Order a kit.
Note: This pattern uses almost the entire cone of Marble. If your loom requires more than 29” of loom waste, we recommend purchasing an additional cone of Marble.
This was my first time weaving deflected double weave and it was easier than I thought it would be. I loved how simple this pattern was- I wove the whole thing in one weekend- but it looks complicated and interesting. I ended up making this with Gist Ode Alpaca yarn and it's so soft and cozy!
Deflected Doubleweave Scarf
This pattern was easy to follow and fun to produce. Easily put together in a day.
I got the Mallo Cotton Slub in Denim along with the free Windowpane Baby Blanket pattern. The yarn is great quality, arrived in the time frame expected. The pattern is easy to use with written instructions and detailed pictures. I am nearly finished making the blanket. The yarn is strong - no broken warp! And it is making a beautiful blanket.
