Light and Shadow Placemats

This placemat set is woven on two separate warps (one dark and one light) with two contrasting colors of Beam. The asymmetrical designs are created with a unique approach to Inlay that allows the weaver to enjoy the meditative flow of weaving with minimal interruption. Once the fabric is off the loom, the inlay threads are manipulated by hand to form playful line drawings. Order a kit.

I’ve made these in several color combinations, because it’s so satisfying to pull the yarn into its 4 different patterns. Makes great gifts!
