Open Call for Pattern Designers & Content Writers

We are beginning the planning process for Gist’s 2026 content. Would you like to work with us? 

What we're looking for

  • Rigid heddle, 4-shaft and 8-shaft loom projects for our in-house yarn lines (Array, Beam, Duet, Mallo, Sero, and Ode)
    • Single patterns  
    • Mini-collections of 3 patterns that are related by technique or function
  • Blog & educational content writers
    • Must be able to support written content with photo and/or video
    • Writing & photo/video samples required
  • Structures/Topics of particular interest, but not limited to:
    • Doubleweave (beyond doublewidth)
    • Lace
    • Overshot
    • Turned Twill/Turned Tacqueté (jin)
    • Collapsed Weaves
    • Crammed and Spaced
    • Turned Drafts
    • Rugs

What are YOU interested in? Do you have other ideas? We’d love to hear from you! 

Being a published pattern designer is not required; we encourage weavers of all experience levels to apply. Submissions must be original or have a cited source, and not previously published. Designers we accept will be compensated competitively based on the scope of the project.
