These are three weights of the same organic cotton line. 8/2 is the finest (3,360 yd/lb), ideal for towels, scarves, and detailed patterns. 3/2 is medium weight (1,260 yd/lb), great for sturdier towels and placemats. 3/4 is the thickest (630 yd/lb), used for potholders, thick towels, and as pattern weft in overshot.
