I have wanted this knitters loom forever. I am so very glad that I purchased it. It arrived within days and in perfect condition. It was so simple to set up and the stand was super simple to assemble. I love being able to take it outside and warp and weave on my covered porch on our nice spring days. I am already weaving a shawl for my neighbors upcoming 75th Birthday. Christine was wonderful to work with. I am so pleased and so thankful.
The 28 inch Ashford Knitter's loom is such a nice loom. There's almost no assembly, it comes with a nice finish, and it folds up easily and can be tucked into its carrying case for easy storage. Not that you are likely to store it much. You'll want to weave on it constantly. I was worried it might be too big, but I place the "feet" on my table's edge and it's quite comfortable. The Gist staff were so helpful too in figuring out a reasonable way to ship the loom to Hawaii. I'm so grateful to them for that.
Its a wonderful loom, easy to follow instructions, and I love to work on it. Had one basic class on a rigid heddle loom before that, but am confident to get great results on my own. A quality product I’m sure I’ll enjoy for many years to come!
Easy to use, great results. And easy to take along. A great quality loom!
Have enjoyed working with this loom - is a very sturdy and comfortable loom to use. I have two floor looms - this feels and works quite differently, but makes lovely cloth as well as the floor looms. Ashford could clarify a couple points in their instructions - to tie the warp onto the cloth beam properly, you need engage the locks that put the warp beam up in the air a few inches - took me a while to figure that one out. Taking the brake off also takes a little work - rotate the handle or push the arm off the wheel. But, every loom has its quirks and this one is doing a nice job for experiments and short runs of weaving! Would recommend this to anyone. I love being able to fold and carry it / the bag that comes with it is a nice one. So far haven't gotten the stand - am using this either on a card table , or in my lap against the table (there is a notch to help with that).
