Introducing a new collection of patterns by Christine Jablonski—designed for rigid heddle weavers looking to expand their skills.
In this collection, we've created four projects that will introduce you to a variety of techniques including Pick-up Stick Floats, Leno Lace, Color-and-Weave, and Weft-Faced weaving using string heddles with a heddle rod.
The collection contains four PDF patterns and all of the yarn needed to make a coordinated table set: one table runner, four placemats, napkins and coasters. The projects can be woven in any order, but we suggest saving the coasters for last.
You can choose from four color combinations that are themed by season. Pick your favorite, or try all four to adorn your table year round.
The projects can be woven in any order, but we recommend saving the coasters for last as you are building your skills.
To weave each of the four projects included in this box you will need a rigid heddle loom at least 15" wide, one 8-dent heddle, one 12-dent heddle, two 16" pick-up sticks, a tapestry beater, and a 16" dowel rod with string heddles (tutorial here).
Each of the four patterns will be delivered to your email as a digital PDF download immediately after purchase.
Yes! If you don't want to choose from our four available colorways, you are welcome to create your own kit with whichever colors you choose. You will need the following yarn to create all four patterns: 1 cone of Duet Cotton/Linen, 2 contrasting cones of Mallo Cotton Slub, 2 contrasting cones of Beam 3/2 Organic Cotton, and 2 contrasting tubes of Array Wool.
Yes! Select the "Patterns Only" option from the dropdown menu above.
These patterns are great for an adventurous beginner. We don’t recommend these for your very first projects, but once you have a few projects under your belt you can certainly enjoy this collection of projects!
