    Brooks Bouquet Scarf

    Designed by Emma Rhodes, woven by Elizabeth Springett.

    This lightweight cotton and linen scarf is woven in plain weave with hand-manipulated lace details.

    Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon loom waste. Order a kit.

    • Rigid heddle or 4-shaft loom
    • 67-68 heddles per shaft for 4-shaft loom
    • 15-dent reed
    • 1 boat shuttle + 2 bobbins or 2 stick shuttles

    Warp: Duet Cotton/Linen, 450-500 yds Dune, 225-250 yds Pearl.

    A learning experience

    Loved this pattern and the color combination of pearl and dune. Used the "yank and crank" warp method from the Rogue Weaver and got very inconsistent tensions. The most troubling issues were fraying of some of the warp strands and too few ppi. I did not understand how tightly the brooks bouquet areas needed to be packed so my project was shortened and the weave was way too loose. I have ordered more Gist Duet yarn and will give it another try.
