Plain weave is anything but plain when woven in Mallo. The thick-and-thin nature of this cotton slub creates an elegant, delicate texture, even in the simplest of weaves. Slightly thicker than many weaving yarns, Mallo weaves up quickly on both rigid heddle and multi-shaft looms. Sturdy, soft, and absorbent, Mallo is perfect for towels, napkins, and washcloths as well as lightweight blankets, scarves, and shawls.
I'm a new weaver, and absolutely loved working with slub yarn. So soft and the finish was gorgeous. Great colors too. I'll definately be using this again.
I love the whole Mallo Line. It is easy to work with as long as you remember that it has a little stretch to it. Hope they make many more colors. Variegated colors would be awesome!!

Check out this absolutely wonderful cotton slub for texture and depth. Mallo makes everything wonderful. Best part is the thickness of your tea towel. I’ll have to try out a placement pattern.

Never have a weaving fail when I use Mallo. I use it to make towels on my rigid heddle flip loom. The towels are super absorbent, soft and easy care..toss in washer and dryer. One of my favorites.
