Mixed Twill Scarf

Is this pattern written for a lowering shaft loom? I threaded exactly as shown, but the pattern as shown is on the underside of my fabric. I’m used to patterns specifying if they are lowering shaft rather than rising.

Inspired by the other reviewer who stated this was their first weaving project, I wanted to give it a try! As that reviewer mentioned, there’s a substantial learning curve and I learned how to use my secondhand floor loom (and read drafts!) while making this beautiful scarf. I took my sweet time with each step, but once I started weaving everything came together perfectly and the time flew by. Absolutely no regrets, it turned out great and am encouraged to continue weaving! Thank you to Gist Yarn for making such accessible resources!!

This was the very first ( yes, you read that correctly) project I ever wove! I think ideally this pattern would be for a beginner with at least a little more experience. There was a huge learning curve. BUT, despite some small errors , I am actually quite pleased with the end result and I will be making this pattern again soon. Now that I understand the pattern I think the project will be much easier than my first attempt.

Haven’t had time to weave this yet but excited to get to it. Well written and easy to understand draft.
