Ode is melange-dyed, where different colors and shades are blended together, creating a rich, unique hue that imparts depth to your weaving. This yarn is the softest and most luxurious yarn to weave with, and also very strong and easy to weave with. It makes the best presents. The special edition color (Iris) is truly beautiful, can't wait to make some holiday presents for family members with it.
Just finished warping this for a shawl. Can't wait to get it on my loom.. It i sbeautiful and so soft and will make a beautiful Christmas gift.
Just what I wanted
First time using Ode, in fact, first time using anything but cotton and I am extremely pleased and happy with the result. I was afraid it would be hard to handle, but found it easier to weave than cotton. There is a bit of stretch that cotton doesn’t have and it is so incredibly soft and easy on the fingers!!! It was even softer after wet finishing. I just soaked and spread it on a towel to dry. I am so pleased with this first effort. I used Blossom and Cream, a 10 heddle. Pattern was copied from a scarf I saw on Pinterest. I used. Blossom for the weft I still have another to make with the same colors, but will use Cream as the weft, and am saving both for Christmas for my granddaughters. I would recommend this yarn to any weavers and it would be especially satisfying to beginner weavers, like me, because the result is so lovely!!!!
