 Deep End Towels

Designed by Christine Jablonski

This reweave of a beloved pattern in Beam 3/2 Organic Cotton makes three generous towels that are as beautiful as they are sturdy. A saturated color block in the center of the design creates visual depth, inspired by Christine’s childhood summers spent with her grandparents, and the view to a young swimmer from the diving board of their pool.

Pattern downloads include files for both rigid heddle and shaft loom weaving. Yardage requirements vary based upon loom waste.Order a kit.

Stunning, but Simple

This pattern so easy to weave but looks complex because of the color shifts. I chose to do mine in shade of green for “deep forest look” and am really happy with progrss so far. I would send a photo, but it is not yet off the loom! All the Gist patterns I have downloaded have given great results.
A tip, I picked up a reel of 1/4” wide ribbon for cents at a thrift store and is great for spreading yarn at start and dividing towels. Just pull it out and re-use.

I loved working with Beam 3/4. And my finished towels were just the size I expected with great selvedges. Beam is really absorbent as well!

Easy to understand

Lovely pattern, it’s a great way to see how colors look when blended.
